Mamou's & Sonja's Cupcake at Serendra

Met up with my "balik bayan" best friend, Yum, at the condo she rents at Eastwood and planned to have lunch with her there.  As we scan through the restaurants there, I've mentioned this steak place at Serendra that I've been wanting to try since I heard it's one of the best steaks here in Manila.  Out of curiosity, Yum suggested that we grab a cab and head to Serendra.  Then, whalla! My most awaited meal at Mamou's finally happened!

As to my expectations, it was definitely met, however didn't exceed it.  The steak itself tasted a lil bland, but its' condiments (steak sauce and rock salt) made the taste, spot on! Two sides to go with our steak was mashed potato and steak rice... and yes, steak rice is a must try--for me, the rice alone made my craving well satisfied.

 Angus Ribeye 14oz, P1680
In addition to our mouthwatering Ribeye, Yum ordered Lorenzo's Truffle Cream and Belle wanted Batac Bolognese.  Both pastas were delish! All though the Lorenzo's Truffle Cream looked all plain, it tastes waaaaay better than it looks like, PROMISE.

Red Velvet Cupcake from Sonja's Cupcake, P80
Of course, a great lunch meal deserves to be followed by an awesome dessert and my trip to Serendra wouldn't be complete without a stop over at Sonja's Cupcakes for their ever popular Red Velvet Cupcake.
